The most recently published figures on Unistats show that ITE graduates from St Mary’s are highly employable.

Ninety-six per cent of BEd(Hons) Primary graduates were in a professional or managerial job six months after the course. The equivalent figure for BEd(Hons) Post-Primary was eighty-nine per cent.

At St Mary’s we have established partnerships with a number of employing bodies outside the north of Ireland to facilitate our graduates in getting posts in teaching.

Two years ago we teamed up with the ‘Early-Birds’ Project in Germany which is under the leadership of Professor Carl Hahn, (former CEO of Volkswagen). We now have five graduates working in Saxony and Lower Saxony and the final year students now have the opportunity to apply for fifteen further posts.

Just this year we have linked up with Kent County Council who will be offering more than ten posts.
