Speaking at the event, which was attended by over five hundred people, the College Principal Professor Peter Finn referred to a recent message sent by His Holiness Pope Francis using Twitter and he asked the students to reflect on it as newly qualified teachers: “Do I take the Gospel message of reconciliation and love into the places where I live and work?”

A ceremony for the College’s postgraduate student teachers who follow an Irish-medium programme was held in the previous week when Certificates in Religious Education were presented by The Most Reverend Donal McKeown, Auxiliary Bishop of Down and Connor.
