Aislinn Downey has sent a message to the College Principal to inform him and the St Mary’s College community of the work being undertaken by St Mary’s graduates who are now teachers in Qatar.

“School is going great for everyone. We teach a range of children including local Qatari kids, as well as Spanish, Italian, Indonesian, Australian and many other nationalities, most of whom have English as a second language. Our work can be tough at times, but we have learned so much in such a short space of time and are experiencing many things which we may not have had the chance to experience at home.

We hope all is well in St Mary's. We all miss it, but it is great to have so many friends out here with us, and we keep in contact with our old classmates who are now working both at home and in England. Please pass on our regards to all the staff.”
