Wednesday, 19 October saw the Community Volunteering Fair take place in the College Hall for the second time in its history.
Students had the fantastic opportunity of meeting with and learning about the range of charities and organisations in the local community and taking their first steps toward volunteering with these groups.
A number of
organisations participated in the event including: The West Belfast Partnership
Board; The Welcome Organisation; Horn of Africa; Lighthouse; SOS Bus NI; Special
Religious Development (SPRED); Cancer Focus NI; AWARE mental health charity;
Disability Action NI; CELTA and Friends of Africa.
The Students’ Union expressed their thanks to all those who attended and helped make the event such a success.
