Eílis McAteer, events coordinator at St Mary's commented on the Summer Transition School:
"St Mary’s University College was once again delighted to host the annual Summer Transition School in co-operation with the West Belfast Partnership Board and post-primary schools in the West Belfast constituency area. The Summer Transition School catered for over 200 young people in classes on campus during the week commencing Monday 14 to Friday 18 August 2017.
The Summer Transition School makes an important contribution to the College mission by supporting young people to achieve their full potential and, if appropriate, aspire to higher education. This year over twenty-five students from the College from all over the north of Ireland participated in the school, providing teaching assistance in the classrooms and working with the pupils on a one-to-one basis."
