First and second year Religious Studies post-primary students were accompanied by Fr Niall Coll on a recent visit to the ruined monastic site of Monasterboice in County Louth where they explored Christianity’s deep roots in Ireland at Muiredach's High Cross.
The site includes the remains of two churches built in the 14th century or later and an earlier round tower, but it is most famous for its high crosses dating back to the tenth century.
