James Connolly Visitor Centre

18 October 2019

Dr Gerard McCann and Dr Peter Collins accompanied a group of twelve international students, who are studying at St Mary’s, to the James Connolly Visitor Centre on the Falls Road recently.

The students were given a conducted tour of the centre by Joe Austin followed by lunch in its café. The students learned a lot from the tour guide and the interactive exhibits and found the experience very enjoyable. They also saw the house just up from the centre where the Connolly family lived from 1910 to 1914.

This visit is part of a course offered by St Mary's on ‘the Life and Times of James Connolly’ and marks the beginning of an ongoing relationship between the College and the Connolly Visitor Centre.

The students are from China, USA , Switzerland and a range of European Union countries .
