College lecturer, Dr Birgit Schippers, has just published a new book, The Routledge Handbook to Rethinking Ethics in International Relations. This edited collection discusses cutting-edge debates in the field of international ethics, and it responds to a substantial appetite for scholarship that challenges established ethical approaches in international studies. The twenty-seven contributions were written by a team of international scholars based in Ireland, Britain, continental Europe, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, North America and China.

Focusing on new and emerging ethical challenges to the study of international relations, and approaching established topics through the lens of new theoretical and methodological frameworks, the book is structured around five themes: on new directions in international ethics; on ethical actors and practices in international relations; on the ethics of climate change, globalization, and health; on technology and ethics in international relations; and on the ethics of global security.
