New Admissions System for undergraduate courses - applicants may now apply online.

1 September 2005

St Mary's University College has introduced a new applications and admissions system for students applying for undergraduate courses commencing in September 2006. Applications should be made directly to the College and not through the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS). For the September 2006 entry the College will use a post-qualification selection system. Students will of course be able to apply for other courses under the UCAS system in the normal way and such application will not influence selection for St Mary's.

Students will be able to apply online for courses in either the BEd Primary and Secondary programmes or the BA Liberal Arts programme. Within each of the BEd and BA programmes students will be able to nominate three different subjects as their subject for Subject Study.

In the BEd Primary course students can take one of the following for subject study: Art and Design, Irish, English, Geography, History, Mathematics, Music, Physical Education, Religious Studies or Science.

In the BEd Secondary course students can select for subject study one of the following: Business Studies, Religious Studies or Technology and Design.

In the BA Liberal Arts course students can take one of the following for subject study: Business Studies, Irish, English, Geography, History, Physical Education or Religious Studies.
