West Belfast is pulling out all the stops as it launches Féile an Earraigh in this the 30th anniversary year of Féile an Phobail.
Féile An Earraigh puts Irish traditional music, arts, language, and culture to the forefront of the celebrations, and what better time to host this festival than during the lead-up to St Patrick's day in Belfast?
At the heart of this year’s festival is a determination to improve inclusivity, build good relations and promote the cultural and creative reputation of West Belfast.
As a key community partner, St Mary’s is delighted to be part of this year’s programme and is set to host several key talks and debates, as well as an engaging visual arts programme which will include exhibitions from many local artists.
Professor Peter Finn said:
“St Mary’s University College is very pleased to welcome the Féile an Earraigh visual arts exhibition to our campus. We believe that the visual arts make an important contribution to the life of the local community and enable outreach to the global stage. Visual arts exhibitions have been an integral part of the Féile/St Mary’s partnership over many years.”
