Student Life at St Mary's

At St Mary’s University College our students have diverse opportunities to enjoy the unique experience of being an undergrad. Recently the College celebrated student life in all its manifestations with an event in the College Hall and a reception in the Dining Hall for over three hundred guests.

What was distinctive about the celebration was the way in which it integrated a range of student life experiences. We celebrated participation in performing arts, volunteering, faith development, outreach to the developing world, specialist societies, sport and many other activities at one forum. Furthermore, in a studio-style setting the students talked to their peers about their interests and life beyond academic matters, and in a manner that left no-one in any doubt about their passion for campus life and their ability to communicate.

The celebration of student life also provided an opportunity for the presentation of awards for an unprecedented “triple victory” at national level for St Mary’s in gaelic games: camogie, hurling and ladies football.
