St Mary’s is expecting around one thousand Year 14 pupils, parents/guardians and careers staff to visit the campus over two days. There are 3 sessions each day. Each session will last approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. The format is the same for both days and is as follows:
Session 1: 10.15am-11.30am
Session 2: 11.30am-12.45pm
Session 3: 1.30pm-2.45pm
- The session will begin with all students in the College Hall and comprise of a Welcome & PowerPoint Presentation (12 mins) and a short talk given by the Widening Access Officer & the President/Vice-President of the Students’ Union (10 mins).
- This will be followed by a Tour of the Campus (approximately 20-25 mins) led by the Student’s Union for all visiting students & their parents/guardians. Visitors will be divided into groups of approximately 25-30 and will be led around the campus by St Mary’s Student Ambassadors.
Session 1 visitors will be on tour from 10.45am to 11.15am and should arrive in the Student Centre for 11.15 am and leave around 11.30 am.
Session 2 visitors will be on tour from 12 noon and should arrive in Student Centre around 12.30 pm and leave around 12.45 pm.
Session 3 visitors will be on tour from 2pm and should arrive in the Student Centre around 2.30 pm and should be leaving at 2.45 pm.
- During the Campus Tours, visiting Careers Staff will go to the Old Library to have Tea/Coffee and an informal chat with the ADMISSIONS MANAGER. After the tour, visiting pupils will spend the last 10-15 minutes in the Student Centre for refreshments and will be collected from there by their teachers.
