Choosing where to study, and to which university you should go, is one of the most important decisions you will make. Websites such as THE are there to help students find answers to all types of questions about universities including what are the top universities in the world to which universities have the best staff to student ratio.  They use 13 different performance indicators to assess a university including the student satisfaction rating achieved by institutions in the NSS.  They bring this data together and publish the results on their website.

THE has stopped including University Colleges in their rankings. However, in 2017 they placed St Mary’s University College in joint fifth place in terms of students who, overall, expressed satisfaction with the quality of their course. 

In the past THE has ranked St Mary’s the Top Institution calculated by taking a grade-point average of the scores given by students for all questions asked in the National Student Survey.  Scores were out of a maximum of 5 and St Mary’s grade-point average was 4.36.
