The director of the Christian Brothers University Writing Centre and four of her student tutors are visiting to St. Mary¹s to participate in a joint training event entitled 'Tutoring with Increasing Sophistication and Effectiveness'. Workshops on tutoring student writers will be given for two days by Dr. Clayann Gilliam Panetta, Writing Centre Director at Christian Brothers and Mr. Jonathan Worley, Writing Centre Director at St. Mary's University College. Thirteen St. Mary's students will be participating along with the four CBU students. Additional workshops will be run by Dr. Matthew Martin, Senior Lecturer in English at St. Mary's and Professor Kathleen Shine Cain, director of the Writing Centre at Merrimack College in Massachusetts.
