Progress in the Arts provides support and guidance for teachers delivering the Arts Area of Learning within the Northern Ireland Curriculum.
It contains suggestions for activities in Art and Design, Music, and Drama, from Foundation Stage through to Key Stage 3.

Royal Geographical Society
Founded in 1830, the RGS supports research, education, expeditions and fieldwork. There is a section on schools and education with teaching resources for each key stage.

An interactive resource from the BBC for teachers and pupils at Key Stage 3. A cross curricular site, this is also relevant to Citizenship, English, History, ICT and Science.
WorldMapper
Worldmapper is a collection of nearly 700 maps with territories are resized according to area of interest, e.g. Disease, violence, poverty, pollution etc. Some maps are available to print as posters.
Young People's Geographies
The Young People’s Geographies project led by the Geographical Association aims to make school geography more exciting and relevant to students by involving them in curriculum making and by focusing on their own lived geographies. There is also a resources section.

BBC Mobile Learning
This Northern Ireland website allows users to experience history in a local setting. Based in Nendrum Abbey for Key Stage 2 pupils there are also tours and activities on emigration, based at Donegall and Queen's Quay in Belfast, and the siege at the Walls of Derry for older students.

National Museums, Northern Ireland

The Titanic Stories website has information about the Titanic on the island of Ireland. It includes facts, stories, videos and news of events and attractions connected to RMS Titanic.
World War 1 Centenary: Continuations and Beginnings
A resource with a variety of materials, including expert articles, lectures, images, interactive maps and ebooks and teaching materials under a set of cross-disciplinary themes that seek to reappraise the War in its cultural, social, geographical and historical contexts. Many of these resources have been specially created by the University of Oxford and partner academics for this website.
World War 1 Discovery Programme
As part of the JISC World War One Discovery Programme to mark the centenary in 2014 of the outbreak of the War, King's College London has created an accessible online database which captures information on UK university, archive, library and museum holdings relating to the conflict. The project has mainly focused on those collections which have already been digitised.
