Students from St Mary's may borrow books from other academic libraries:

On production of their student card, students from St Mary's may borrow books from Queen's Library. St Mary's academic staff can borrow books on production of their Queen's Library card.

M-Level students may borrow books from Stranmillis library on production of their student card.
- Linen Hall
Library
Staff and students from St Mary's may borrow books from the Linen Hall Library on production of a Linen Hall Library card, available from the Help Desk.

COPAC
provides access to the merged catalogues of over 20 University library catalogues. Items not held locally or in the British Library but which are available in one of the COPAC libraries may be requested through the inter library loan service.
- British Library
This catalogue lists over 13 million items in the British Library. Material available for loan from the Document Supply Centre
may be requested through the inter-library loans service.
- National Library of Ireland
The Library collects, preserves and makes available books, manuscripts and illustrative material of Irish interest.
The National Library is open and free of charge to all those who wish to consult the collections for material not otherwise available through the public library service or an academic library.
